When I Talk To You is informed by both the sonic code of 1970s punk and the songwriting of pop records spanning many decades. The album ties together topics of queer identity, loss, unrequited desire, and social anxiety; musically, the band sits at the intersection of artists like Wire and Jan & Dean, X and The Four Seasons, The Replacements and Petula Clark. Recorded in 2010 by Mattew Smith of Outrageous Cherry, the album saw a cassette release on Gold Tapes back in 2011.

An animator recommended me Omni a few months back and it’s been truly great hearing this. It’s exactly what my taste of music goes for and one of the first albums I don’t skip tracks on (Deluxe is also one of them.) Multi-task is such a bop tbh amberee

Fantastic set, with surprising subtleties for a live, four-track recording. Love the warmth and personality they captured on the cassette. Ryan McSwain

Addictive Garage Pop/Rock. Sad and happy, jangly guitars, changing and lovely vocals, short and very diverse songs in this album. Got hooked on this band instantly. Check it out if you like Guided by Voices, Flying Nun, The Feelies, Beat Happening... Diego A. Torres
